Living in a foreign country is not as easy as it seems, or the way people keep portraying it. Abroad, you work hard to be able to live comfortably... accommodation and paying of taxes alone is a lot of money. When you travel and you go back to your country, people at home expect you to be loaded with money and so expect a lot of things from you. The question is must we buy something to give people at home, is it a culture that we must continue ?
No one will believe when you tell them you don't have the money and you just came back from abroad. Even those schooling abroad, some of them have to work alongside to earn a little money to help themselves. Those of us who have the privilege to live abroad without hustle should be grateful to God at all times. Most of our parents do not want us to experience what they went through while younger. Let's all work hard no matter where we are and make our generations better.
